Update #2

Just touching base again!

I really regret how I fell down on the job so abruptly, but looking at things realistically, there are a lot of priorities I need to get in order in my life above this translation project. I think setting a deadline for this is ignoring other things that I should be getting done first. Therefore, I will just officially place this project on indefinite hiatus until I can get things in order, pull myself further out of my depressive slump, set aside time to read the newer novels that were released, finish projects that I'm being paid for, etc.

I'd like to return within a couple months, but I don't like continually making these promises I don't keep, so we'll see how that goes.

I'll make sure to actually edit the navigation page this time to reflect this change. Thanks to everyone so much for your support so far, and hopefully in the future too when I am able to return!

I just want to say I really love your translation. It's a bit sad to know that you've put the novel on indefinite hiatus. But since you've got personal issues, I hope you will get through it soon ^ - ^

We all know that you're doing this completely voluntarily and are in no way obligated to complete it by any sort of deadline, your personal life is definitely more important than these translations. It would be selfish to ask you to come back to this or do regular updates, just have fun and enjoy life as much as you can, maybe just do it like once or twice every few months when you have time to do projects you aren't paid for.

If I'm being honest, I have been checking for updates regularly since you made this post in January. This is such a good translation and I keep hoping for an update. Next thing I know, it's June. Your talent for translation is incredible, I don't know if i'm just new to this, but this was so insane to read, you really pulled through with all the references and this work was nothing but written to perfection.
I of course can't read Japanese so that might be a sad compliment, but in my opinion you gave so much justice to the original writer. And thank you for this, it was truly a blessing to read through.

hey, it's been a year and i was just wondering if you ever plan to continue the series

Just wanted to wish you well on all your current endeavors, though this post was over a year ago. Your translation is astounding, and I hope that you can get in a good enough place that you can do this kind of thing for fun again. Even if you don't, these few chapters have been an amazing gift all on their own!

I found this post January 2017 because I was looking for a translation of Danganronpa Kirigiri. When I got to the end and saw the indefinite hiatus post I was disappointed but I understood why you stopped. I was just hoping that you came back eventually and I'm still hoping. I made this account just to comment on this post. I'm actually trying to learn Japanese just so I can read it but I'm so lazy I know only 10 kanji and I don't know many words in Japanese so it will be a slow start. Can you tell me how you learned Japanese if you still come back to this post. Thank you for possibly reading!

If anyone is interested in reading the last part of chapter 7 (aka part 9), there are people out there who has translated it and therefore ending volume 1.

I'm not sure if volume two is going to get translated, but the first few parts of volume three has been translated already. From what I've heard though, people are recommending that you read the second volume first.

Again, I just wanted to say that I (and probably we) really appreciate you for doing this, and although its been over a year and the project might be cancelled, it's still amazing reading something that I otherwise would've never read, so thank you again.

Not the original anon, but I'm glad I took my sweet time finishing Kirigiri, it's good to know that you're still going. Both it and Togami were really good, due in no small part to your excellent translation!

Just wanted to leave a comment of appreciation for all the hard work put into this. The quality of the translations is really stunning, especially since it's free for everyone to see. Your vocabulary is very impressive and made me learn more english words I didn't know exist and the translator notes are professional and explain the references really well. Whether or not it will ever be continued. I can't thank you enough for the quality entertainment that us readers got out of this.

Hi (if you're not dead); Just wondering, has the Togami series been fully translated or should I just try to find a Japanese raw? I don't mind translating, but if there's a fully translated English version I'd rather not (translating can be quite laborious, at least for me).

Either way, even if you can't or don't reply, I hope you're doing better than you were at the time of writing the original post!
