Actually, something that I caught rereading this bit:

This suggests: 1. The story is written after the events in-story have already occurred. 2. That Blue Ink survives (long enough to write it, anyway). 3. That the story concludes AFTER the Tragedy and presumably DR1 have occurred, since Byakuya couldn't really "return" if he's stuck in the school with his classmates.
